Manchester City are believed to be considering options to replace Yaya Toure as he edges closer to a potential club exit, with former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba and Newcastle United’s Cheick Tiote targeted, Daily Mail reports. The 31-year-old has been struggling to reach the form he showcased in his previous season and could be on the verge of a club exit with Paris Saint-Germain prepared to lure the Ivorian to the Ligue 1.

His earlier disagreement with City in the build up to the new campaign is said to be the cause of his decline in form, aided by his unsettling feelings at the Etihad. With Toure’s future at the club still unsure, Manuel Pellegrini is now tipped to be chasing highly sought after Juventus star Pogba, who was recently named as the best young player at the World Cup. However, his £60million price-tag may prove to be too high for the club as they are also tracking the situation of Newcastle’s Tiote, who is worth a lot less at £15million.
